Big 4 - Saltwater Yamba
Project Overview
Client: Andrew Tribe
Location: Yamba
Completion: 2024
Scope: Mock rock and concrete sculpture teamed up with Bespoke Custom Fabrication.
Project Summary
This was the second major project for this client having previously delivered a project at their sister site at Big 4 Billabong Tweed Heads.
The brief was exciting Create a two Mock rock headlands connected by a three meter wide waterfall for guests to swim through. 12 individual sea animal sculptures under water to create a snorkelling trail incorporating a underwater camera that casts to the big screen. More artificial rock features adorn the perimeter including a set of stairs to access the top of the water slide.
In addition to all of this was the challenge to create a 11 meter long 6 meter wide trawler like boat to be a swim up bar at water level and on the other side a walk up café. Despite the drastic level changes from one side to the other and custom curved bar tops the end result has ended up a dream come true.
Objectives
- Replicate a natural environment
- Create a practical bar and café
