Dingo Rock - Melbourne Zoo
Project Overview
Client: Zoos Victoria
Location: Melbourne, Victoria
Completion: 2024
Scope: Mock rock and concrete sculpture
Project Summary
Within the dingo enclosure, we created two large-scale mock rock structures designed to provide both functional High points and a naturalistic aesthetic. The first formation incorporates a high ledge, offering the dingoes a secure resting space that mimic the access qualities of rocky outcrops in the wild. The structures feature of elevated vantage points, encouraging natural behaviours such as climbing, exploring, and surveying their surroundings. Sculpted in durable concrete with hand‑tooled textures and natural colour washes, both elements blend seamlessly into the landscape, enhancing animal welfare while delivering an authentic, immersive experience for visitors.
