Project Summary

At Symbio Zoo, the award‑winning Fairy Penguin exhibit was designed to bring guests closer than ever to these charismatic little seabirds. The habitat recreates the rocky coastlines and sheltered coves where penguins thrive, complete with crystal‑clear pools, nesting areas, and naturalistic rockwork. Visitors enjoy sweeping, up‑close views from multiple vantage points, watching the penguins dive, swim, and waddle across their environment. Every detail was carefully considered to balance animal welfare with guest immersion, resulting in an exhibit that is as enriching for the penguins as it is captivating for audiences — a showcase of how thoughtful design can inspire connection and conservation.
